We place an incredibly high level of trust in protecting personal and business data. Because our onboarding registrations contain sensitive personal information (such as WhatsApp contact numbers, emails, physical warehouse pickup points, and customer delivery addresses) [19], we enforce strict security protocols to prevent unauthorized access, leakage, or public exposure [19].
2. Information We Collect
To run our onboarding operations, facilitate order stock validations, and orchestrate direct-to-customer logistics, we collect the following categories of information:
A. For Wholesaler & Manufacturer Suppliers
During the supplier onboarding process, we capture basic and logistical details [13]:
- Contact Details: Contact person's full name, business name, official email address, and active WhatsApp number [13].
- Pickup Address: Warehouse locations, flat/shop numbers, landmarks, cities, states, and 6-digit Indian postal codes (essential for courier pickup validation and label generation) [13].
- Business Specification: Business types (manufacturer, wholesaler, brand owner), years in operation, catalog links, average order dispatch timelines, and return/replacement guidelines [13-14].
B. For Independent Resellers
To register you as our active side-income sales partner, we collect [12, 15]:
- Personal Identity: Full name, active WhatsApp number, email address, and home/business address [15].
- Market Profile: Social media links (Instagram or Facebook pages), current occupation, reselling experience levels, and product category preferences [15].
C. For End Customers
When a reseller receives a direct purchase, they provide their customer's shipment credentials to us [3]:
- Delivery Information: Customer's full name, exact doorstep shipping address, Indian pincode, and contact telephone number. This information is processed strictly to execute successful logistics shipping labels.
3. How We Use Your Information
We process your data to secure and streamline e-commerce fulfillment. Specifically, we use it for [3]:
- Application Review: Evaluating and verifying candidate registrations (retaining them as "Pending" until admin checks are complete) [14-16].
- Order Orchestration: Verifying product availability with suppliers and passing shipping credentials to suppliers to ship items directly to the end customer's address [3].
- Dispatch: Sharing the delivery name and address with the supplier so they can send the parcel with their own courier, in the reseller’s name.
- Direct Support: Informing you of tracking codes, status shifts, or resolution updates directly via WhatsApp or email [3, 4].
4. Data Protection & Registration Privacy
We take active, systematic steps to defend your data against security breaches [19, 23-24]:
- Zero Public Exposure: We never display submitted reseller or supplier registration records publicly on the site [19].
- Restricted Access: Onboarding files are locked behind a secure administration dashboard accessible only to authenticated personnel using session-ID regeneration [24-25].
- No Unnecessary Storage: We do not store unnecessary personal information or retain records longer than required for operational compliance [19].
- Secure Connections: Our website inputs are guarded using secure PHP PDO parameterized prepared queries to block SQL injection attempts [23].
5. Sharing Information
To maintain our white-label dropshipping model, we share information strictly on a need-to-know basis [3, 9]:
- Supplier-Reseller-Customer Link: We share the customer's delivery name and doorstep shipping address with the wholesale supplier solely so they can pack and ship the single-piece order [3].
- Supplier dispatch: The customer’s delivery details are shared with the supplying business so that business can ship the parcel. ResellSetu does not pass those details to a parcel partner of its own.
- Payment partners: When a reseller pays online, a licensed payment aggregator (Razorpay and/or PhonePe Payment Gateway) receives the amount, payment reference, and order identifier needed to complete and reconcile the transaction. They process that data under their own privacy policy and RBI rules. ResellSetu does not store UPI PINs, card numbers, CVV, or net-banking passwords.
- No Commercial Selling: ResellSetu will never sell, lease, or rent your database registrations or contact details to third-party ad networks or brokers.
6. Cookies and device data
We use essential cookies and similar session storage so you can stay logged in, complete checkout, and keep the site secure. We do not use those cookies to sell advertising profiles. You can block cookies in your browser; login and payment may then fail.
7. User Rights & Consent
By checking the onboarding agreement checkbox and submitting your details, you explicitly consent to ResellSetu contacting you regarding your onboarding application over WhatsApp or Email [14-15].
You have the following rights regarding your data:
- Correction & Deletion: You can request us to correct or permanently remove your registration profile.
- Marketing Opt-out: You can withdraw consent for any direct marketing or newsletter updates by contacting our helpdesk directly.
